Connecting Shopify

On a call, your agent can:

  • Find the caller’s orders by phone number, or by an email or order number they give.
  • Read out status, tracking, and items for a specific order.
  • Change the shipping address while the order can still be changed. It reads the new address back and waits for a clear yes.
  • Cancel an order while that’s still possible, after confirming the order number aloud. Cancellation is permanent.
  • Answer product questions — price, description, sizes and colours, stock.
  • Add the caller to your marketing list when they say yes and spell out their email.

Shopify runs alongside a booking provider, so a calendar can stay connected.

  • Permission to install apps on the store. Callspace asks for read and write access to orders, customers, and order edits; the writes are what make address changes and cancellations possible.
  • Your your-store.myshopify.com domain, rather than your custom domain.

The Shopify integration screen, not yet connected

  1. Open Settings → Integrations and choose Configure on the Shopify tile.
  2. Enter your store domain and choose Connect Shopify.
  3. Approve the access in Shopify. You land back on a screen showing the connected shop, the access granted, and the last sync.

The tools reach your agent as soon as the connection is live.

Your agent matches the caller to a Shopify customer by the number they’re calling from. With no match, it offers to take a message, and the details land in your inbox.

Callers ringing from a different number can give the email or order number on the order. Before changing or cancelling anything, your agent re-checks that the order belongs to the person on the phone.

  1. Call your own number from the phone number on a recent order and ask about it.
  2. Check that the status and tracking it reads out match the admin.
  3. To test address changes, try one on an unfulfilled order and confirm the agent reads the address back before saving.

On the Shopify screen, choose Disconnect under Danger zone. Your agent loses access immediately. Your store, orders, and customers stay as they are.
