Google Calendar integration
Booked onto the calendar you already keep, during the call.
You already run your day out of Google Calendar. Callspace reads it for openings that are genuinely free, offers the caller a time that fits your hours, and writes the appointment onto your calendar before they hang up. Nothing to sync, nothing to type up later.
What it does on a call
Checks availability before it offers a time
The AI reads your calendar for real openings inside your booking hours. Anything already there blocks the slot — including events Callspace did not create. If the caller’s preferred day is full, it offers the nearest alternatives.
Writes the appointment during the call
The event lands on your calendar while the caller is still on the line, with their name and the reason for the visit. Give an email and they are added to the invite, so Google sends the confirmation.
Reschedules without a reference number
Callers ringing back to move an appointment are matched on their caller ID. If they have several upcoming, the AI asks which one before moving it.
Respects the hours you set
Booking hours, timezone, and appointment length are yours to set. A 2am caller gets offered a morning slot, not a 2am one.
When it earns its keep
- After-hours booking requests that would otherwise sit in voicemail
- Overflow when the phone rings while you are with a customer
- Callers who want the soonest opening rather than a callback
- Reschedules and cancellations that never reach the front desk
- Weekend and holiday cover without paying for an answering service
How to turn it on
-
Open Settings → AI Agent → Booking
Google Calendar is configured on the booking tab of your AI agent, where the rest of your scheduling settings live.
-
Connect Google Calendar
Click Connect Google Calendar and approve access in Google.
-
Choose the calendar
Pick which calendar on the account the AI should read availability from and write appointments to. The rest are left alone.
-
Set hours, timezone, and duration
Tell Callspace when you accept appointments and how long one runs. The AI never offers a slot outside them.
-
Turn on phone booking
Switch on Enable Phone Booking. The next caller can book.
Before you start
- A Google account holding the calendar you want the AI to manage.
- Booking hours, timezone, and duration set — the toggle stays locked until they are.
- One booking provider at a time. If Jobber or Calendly is connected, disconnect it before connecting Google Calendar.
Questions
Can the AI double-book me?
It checks the connected calendar immediately before offering a time and writes the event during the call, so anything already on that calendar blocks the slot — including events created by other people.
Which calendar does it use if I have several?
The one you choose during setup. Every other calendar on the account is untouched.
Does the caller get a confirmation?
If they give an email address, they are added to the calendar invite and Google sends it. Either way you get a summary of the call by text and email.
What happens outside my booking hours?
The AI still answers the phone. It just only offers times inside the hours you set.
Can I use a shared or team calendar?
Yes — any calendar the connected Google account can write to appears in the picker during setup.
